Regarding Israel’s Military Invasion of the Gaza Strip:
We demand an immediate halt to Israel’s occupation, massacres, and all other forms of violence in the Gaza Strip, and we stand in solidarity with movements seeking peace and freedom in Palestine and around the world.
Furthermore, we strongly protest against pinkwashing, which uses the LGBTQ+ community to minimize and divert attention from ongoing violence and human rights violations.
Under the ongoing military attacks by Israel on the Gaza Strip which intensified since last October, the rights of minorities, including women and LGBTQ+ individuals, have been further endangered. There is a shortage of essential supplies such as food and medical aid, and access to reproductive health has become increasingly difficult.
This is not a distant issue but one deeply intertwined with our lives. It is important to make efforts not to contribute to the forces that sustain such social structures and to take action towards resolution.
Over 30 years have passed since the Oslo Accords were formed to put an end to the history of violence. Yet, violence and violations of human rights continue to recur to this day.
Living completely detached from violence is very difficult in today’s highly globalized and capitalist society. However, it is crucial to continue seeking “justice” from wherever we are and never give up.
The world is swirling with complexity beyond what one person can comprehend, which is why we believe it’s important to think, learn, speak up, and progress together with many others.
Let’s do what we can, whether it’s watching the news, learning history, donating, or participating in demonstrations or boycotts, and take action from where we are able.
